This is getting really annoying. First, a new flu strain comes out - big deal, it happens every year in every country. Then, somebody (probably a misinformed media outlet) names it Swine Flu, probably after hearing an unconfirmed rumor that it started on a pig farm. Of course the next logical step is to promote panic among the idiots who believe everything they read, or hear. Small interuption for some whiny jew who cant even say the word "swine". Get over yourself, asshole. Do you think everyone else who has some kind of aversion to something bitches about what it's called? I'm sure the Mexicans were happy to have you try to honor them by naming the virus after the country of origin. (notice the sarcasm, I put in some extra for you)
Ok, back to the stupid people panicking - Think about it, this flu thing happens every year, and 75% of the world rushes to get an outdated flu shot made for last years flu strain. If America has really spent the reported $1 Billion on research for this swine/hin1 flu vaccine, then I have this to say: Thanks for wasting my fucking tax money! I have no problem with helping to pay for research into vaccines & cures for modern day ailments. But I do have a problem when the money is shifted towards mass production of a half-assed result that is pushed through the research stage by big drug companies who just want to fatten thier pockets by supporting public paranoia of common colds. At this point, the big drug companies are no better than the back-alley crack dealer. I'm sure crack-head Fred is pissed that he can't advertise his shit on tv like these big pharmacuetical companies.
Oh, and to the media: thanks for letting me know how many people die of this flu virus. Of course, some news outlets will actually say that the person that died was either really young, really old, and/or had a severe pre-existing consition. Why don't you do that every year when the standard flu strain comes around? I'm sure the results are very close to the swine flu deaths, they're just not reported.
If the Black Plague comes around, then it might be time to worry a little, but for now, enough about the flu virus! If you get it (the flu, that is), stay home, drink plenty of fluids, and get extra rest. It'll be gone before you know it. If you get the Plague, stay home, drink embalming fluid, and call the coroner to prepare you a place to rest. You'll be gone before you know it.
